Morning Meeting:
-Students arrive, check their backpacks, and wait at their locker
-Attendance on Epson board
-Breakfast or name warm-up
Writer's Workshop:
-Mini-lesson and modeling
-Independent writing and conferring
-Author's Chair (sharing time)
Phonics- Focus of the Week
-Introduction of letters and syllable, chunk, or sound
-Spelling test, syllable sort, and application in text
Literacy Centers: 11:00-12:00
-Students travel through centers that are focused on:
-Listening and comprehension
-Writing
-ABC exploration
-Phonics and Phonemic awareness
-Technology (that intergrates concepts taught in class)
-Word Work
-Handwriting
Recess and Lunch: 12:10-1:00
Math Mini-Lesson and Centers: 1:00-2:00
